Pursuing Justice Newsletter November 2025

LASCO EDITOR

At LASCO, we believe every veteran deserves meaningful access to justice. Our mission is rooted in the belief that strong legal advocacy can transform lives—helping veterans feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward with confidence.

That commitment took a major step forward in 2023 when we hired Attorney Anna Lynch to focus exclusively on serving former service members. Since joining our team, Anna has provided direct legal help while also building strong connections with veteran service organizations, local nonprofits, and county agencies.

These partnerships help us reach more veterans and ensure they have access to the full spectrum of resources they need to thrive.

Thanks to these efforts, we’ve significantly expanded our reach: LASCO served 858 veterans in 2023, 896 in 2024, and already 735 in the first half of 2025. These numbers represent more than statistics—they reflect lives strengthened, families stabilized, and veterans receiving the recognition and support they deserve.

As an Army veteran and LASCO board member, I’m thrilled about the work we’re doing to support veterans. Many face complex challenges tied to their service—from housing instability and access to benefits, to family law matters and discharge upgrades. Having a dedicated attorney ensures those who’ve served are supported by someone who truly understands their unique challenges—and who offers not just legal assistance, but advocacy that honors their service.

Every veteran in our 36-county service area deserves to know they are not alone—and you can help make that possible. Your support ensures LASCO can stand with veterans every step of the way, providing the advocacy, resources, and hope they’ve earned. Please consider making gift today to strengthen our work and show they are never forgotten.

(In addition to serving on our board, John Boyer is a Senior Vice President at Nationwide where he leads a team of 85 attorneys, paralegals, and administrative assistants.)
