VA Benefits for Veterans’ Family, Surviving Spouses, and Caregivers
This brochure explains VA benefits for family and caregivers and eligibility for surviving spouses and children to receive financial support.
This pamphlet explains what to do if you get a letter from the VA saying you have to pay back benefits they mistakenly overpaid you, how to keep your benefits, and step-by-step instructions on requesting a waiver to avoid having to pay back an overpayment you can’t afford.
LASCO may be able to represent you if:

- You get a letter from the Columbus VA Medical Center saying that you are disruptive and will need a police escort or will be banned from the medical center
- You have an other than honorable discharge or lower and would like to get VA benefits
