Planning for the Future: What LASCO Pro Bono Attorneys Should Know

Virtual

Thursday, November 7, 2024, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.

LASCO offers two pro bono projects focused on estate planning for seniors and veterans. The Seniors Referral Project (SRP) connects clients with volunteer lawyers and paralegals who draft wills, advance directives, and transfer on death affidavits throughout our service area. Volunteers can participate remotely or in-person. At LASCO Wills Clinics, volunteer lawyers and paralegals draft and execute necessary documents at local senior centers and other community sites throughout our service area. SRP cases are available throughout the year, and volunteers can accept as many referrals as they wish. In 2025, LASCO will be offering wills clinics in five rural counties and five Columbus neighborhoods. The training will cover the basics of document drafting, frequently asked questions, and tips for volunteers. Register for the CLE here
