Paul Bryson

Professional Biography

Paul Bryson joined Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio (then LASC) in 2018, closing down his private practice to join the Community Economic Development and Bankruptcy practices. During his years of private practice, Paul represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including criminal defense, domestic disputes, civil litigation, bankruptcy, business and transactional work, estate planning, and administrative proceedings. He also served as a Guardian ad Litem for children involved in abuse, neglect, and dependency cases. At the beginning of his career, Paul was a staff attorney in the Fairfield County Court of Common Pleas, where he assisted Judge Richard Berens with legal research and writing.

"The work I do with small businesses and nonprofits at Legal Aid is a way I can contribute my skills to doing the most good in the community,” Paul says. “I don't have to have the best ideas or know everything, but I add just the missing ingredient to help magnify my client's impact in their communities and make their ideas come to life."

Kylie A. Scott is dedicated to advocating for young people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity. As the Homeless Youth Fellow, she works directly with youth shelters and transitional housing communities to connect young people with essential legal services.
