Nathan R.A. Crowell
Professional Biography
Nathan R.A. Crowell joined Legal Aid of Southeast and Central Ohio in 2021, focusing on Landlord/Tenant and Fair Housing issues. Originally from Upstate New York near Syracuse, Nathan’s personal experiences with poverty inspired his commitment to public interest law. As a first-generation law student, he moved to Central Ohio in 2017 to attend The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
“Working at Legal Aid provides me the opportunity to assist those in need when they need it, in a way that my family was not able to be assisted,” Nathan says. “The best part of my day is when I am able to help improve a client's current situation even moderately. I know how much impact even a minor improvement can have on someone's long-term situation, and I strive to provide that.”
Brendan J. Newcomb is committed to ensuring equal access to justice for all. As an attorney with Legal Aid, he works to provide high-quality legal representation to those who might not otherwise have access to it.
Asked what he likes most about his work, Brendan says simply, "We level the playing field."
