Jordan Bernas
Professional Biography
Jordan Bernas is a staff attorney at LASCO, joining the Newark office in 2023. Jordan was drawn to legal advocacy after witnessing firsthand the consequences of being denied access to essential resources such as healthcare and housing.
At LASCO, Jordan is a member of the Consumer team, but he also enjoys being a general practitioner. Jordan is actively involved in LASCO’s LGBTQ+ Outreach and Affinity Group and is committed to expanding access to legal services for underserved communities.
During law school, Jordan gained a wide range of legal experience. He clerked for the Honorable Richard A. Frye at the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, interned with the Federal Highway Administration, and served as a senator on the Student Bar Association’s Admissions Committee.
“Dealing with court-related matters can be scary and intimidating,” Jordan says. “I enjoy making people feel more at ease with a system that’s tough to navigate. Breaking down barriers to access and ensuring that our clients’ voices get heard are some of my favorite parts of the job.”
