Professional Biography

Jean Goode brings a wealth of experience to LASCO as a Legal Secretary at the Marion office. Her background includes 13 years of teaching in public schools and 25 years with GTE/Verizon in the Statistical and Forecasting Department. Her diverse expertise and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable part of the team.


Jean enjoys her job at Legal Aid because “LASCO is committed to helping individuals through difficult times and communities to become a better place to live.”


She draws inspiration from a favorite quote by Helen Keller: “Alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much.”

Personal

Jean is a proud mother of two accomplished young men who are dedicated to making a positive impact on individuals and their communities. Together, they hold degrees in Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, as well as advanced degrees—a Master’s in Sports Management and a Ph.D. in Exercise/Sports Physiology.



At home, Jean shares her life with two rescued fur babies: a lovable basset hound and a cat. She enjoys traveling, canning, and pursuing continuing education opportunities. Jean is passionate about giving back to her community through projects such as local theater, fundraising, and senior citizen initiatives. In her free time, she is also an active quilter.
