Brendan A. McGeehen

Professional Biography

Brendan A. McGeehen serves as a Staff Attorney on the Housing Team at LASCO, where he is dedicated to expanding access to justice for individuals facing housing challenges. 

After graduating from Alliance High School, Brendan earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science with a concentration in political institutions from Duke University. At Duke, he was a member of the Visions of Freedom Living Learning Community, an alternative living group on campus for students interested in political science, philosophy, and economics. As part of that community, Brendan co-taught a weekly “house course” for its members.


He went on to earn his law degree from the University of Akron School of Law, where he served as a representative for the Student Bar Association for one year. During law school, Brendan worked as a law clerk for the Cuyahoga County Public Defender’s Office in the appellate, juvenile, and felony divisions for two years. He also served for nearly two years as a student intake coordinator for the Ohio Governor’s Expedited Pardon Project through Akron Law’s legal clinic.


When asked what he likes best about his work, Brendan shares: “I like being able to make a difference in the lives of people who have been failed by the systems that are supposed to protect and support them.”

Personal Information

Brendan grew up in Alliance, Ohio with his parents, younger brother, and younger sister. Today, outside of work, he enjoys watching football, weightlifting, and listening to podcasts. He is an avid television fan, particularly of Apple TV’s Severance and Pluribus. Brendan also loves cooking, making coffee, and spending time with friends.
